SideTaker - Let the World Decide Who's at Fault

An insider at the New York Times has tipped me off about a great new website called SideTaker. The premise is simple; couples who are in an argument each get a few paragraphs to spell out their side of the spat, and the public votes on who is right. From SideTaker’s intro:

“Fighting with your significant other? Who's right and who's wrong? Air it out anonymously while letting people of the world give you advice and make the decision on who should apologize.”

SideTaker is cheap, time-wasting fun; it reminds me of the Best of Craigslist pages except with the ability to vote, which makes it all the more addictive. The producers of the website did everyone a favor by keeping the design clean and simple, allowing the focus to remain on the content, AND they allow users to vote without requiring them to register for anything, what more can you ask?

My girlfriend sums it up like this:

“That site is so funny, each side should just say ‘I’m a guy, I think like a guy’, and ‘I’m a girl, I think like a girl’.”

Well, fortunately for us, they don’t; and whether it’s about “baby-fever”, “is this considered cheating?” or “he never offers to cook, clean, or shop” the arguments are endless, and SideTaker is here to help (kind of).
