Jaydiohead Kills It
The Jay-Z and Radiohead mashup by Minty Fresh is amazing. My favorites are:
Wrong Prayer

Change Order
It's so good. Take a listen:

Wii Boxing Gloves
It was a dark and stormy night when RM Schneiderman wrote an article about the new Wii boxing gloves from Everlast. They seem like an "attractive" buy (wink wink, get it?).

New York City Skyscraper Map/Interface
This is the NYC Skyscraper museum's website – http://www.skyscraper.org/.
The site itself isn’t that interesting (typical museum fare) but if you click on the flash above the body of the site, it will take you to VIVA, the Visual Index to the Virtual Archive, which is amazing. In their words, it:
“... is a innovative visually-based interface that uses a 3-D computer model of Manhattan as a click-on map, allowing Web visitors to view the city, present and past, and to access the Museum's collections.”
There’s no way to explain how cool the interface is, so I’ll just show you pictures:

Sick Day
I am sick today, so I commissioned a portrait to show all of you who can't see me exactly how sick I am. For the sake of comparison, I have included a picture of me, healthy and happy. Below that it is the illustration of me drawn only a few hours ago.

Across the Aisle - Beer Song
Listen here: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=38251155
This is not a good song, but it IS the most upbeat song about alcoholism I’ve ever heard so consider that niche filled. In other words, if you were going to create a song that this girl would love:
Don’t bother, you’ve been beaten to the punch.
Here are the lyrics:
Whooooooooooooaaaaaaa!
I wake up in the morning, grab myself a beer,
I wake up in the morning every day, grab myself a beer,
The very first thing on my mind, pounding an ice cold beer,
The sound of a can cracking open music to my ears.
Rum and coke, whiskey on the rocks, don’t give me Long Island iced tea,
My liver needs a break, but I can’t seem to shake, my love for beer.
When I go to a party you know I bring a keg of beer (male voice: she’s so nice),
When I go to a party, every night you know I bring a keg of beer,
I don’t mess with a pony I tap a full as keg of beer
Guinness book world record holder keg stands might be my career.
Rum and coke, whiskey on the rocks, don’t give me Long Island iced tea
My liver needs a break, but I can’t seem to shake my love for beer.
Sometimes on the subwayyayayay I brown bag a beer (male voice: tip it up tip it up tip it up ohhh),
Before this song is over you’re going to shotgun a beer.
When the day is over, I’m buzzed from all the beer,
When the day is over, you know I m buzzed from all the beer
Blue enough dreams(?) on top of fisting forties makes me shed a tear,
Will the room ever stop spinning is my greatest fear.
Rum and coke, whiskey on the rocks, don’t give me Long Island iced tea,
My liver needs a break, buy I can’t seem to shake my love for beer (male chorus: one more time).
My liver needs a break, buy I can’t seem to shake my love for beer.

The Deliberate Sip
Two textbook variations on the Roccoco sip, made famous by Francois Boucher, which later served as inspiration for the famous clarinet opening in George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue.

MMMMMM... Beer Advertising
The Museum of Beverage Containers and Advertising has put together a catalog of beer ads dating back to the late 1800’s and put it online for our viewing pleasure. Organized by beer company, and within each company, by date, it is an impressive collection from which we can see a myriad of advertising trends, consumer targeting, container shapes, and much more.
But if there’s one thing that I learned, it’s that advertisers had us beer drinkers pegged all the way back in 1904, when Budweiser ran an ad that showed a bald eagle carrying a naked woman holding a bottle of Bud… now THAT’S a beer ad:

Pro Quo – Nerdy Name, Great Service (and it’s free)
I signed up for Pro Quo today after getting tipped off by a friend about their services, and already I’m happy I did. Per their website, Pro Quo:
“… helps you stop junk mail [credit card solicitations, catalogs, etc], protect against identify theft, and start getting just the marketing mail you want.”
In addition to using those features, I signed up for the do not call registry, got a great credit card recommendation from their robust matching program, and was just all–around happy with their user-friendly interface. The best part is it’s all free… what a great site, I highly recommend you check it out.
